# The Account tab

> Switch between sites, lock the app with Face ID or Touch ID, and sign out from the staff app's Account tab.

The **Account** tab in the staff app is where you check your details, control how the app locks, and sign out. Open it from the bottom navigation.

## Your Information

At the top of the tab, **Your Information** shows the **Name** and **Email** of the account you're currently signed in as. This is a quick way to confirm who's logged in — handy on a shared device.

## Switching Sites

If you work across more than one setting, you can switch between them without signing out.

1. Tap the current site's name and logo shown at the top of the screen.
2. On the **Select Site** screen, tap the setting you want to work in.
3. The app switches to that site, and a tick shows which site you're now viewing.

  If you only have access to one setting, the site name is shown but there's nothing to switch to.

## Locking the App

The **Account** tab lets you choose how the app locks when you're not using it. Depending on your device, the switch is labelled **Face ID**, **Touch ID**, or **Fingerprint**.

* **Turn it on** to stay signed in and unlock the app with your face or fingerprint each time you open it.
* **Turn it off** to sign in manually every time you open the app.

If your device doesn't have Face ID, Touch ID, or a fingerprint reader set up, the switch explains that biometric unlocking isn't available — set it up in your device's settings first.

  On a shared device, your **PIN** is what confirms who you are when opening protected areas (like Safeguarding) or switching between users. Set or change your PIN on the [My Account](/docs/managers/account) page of the web app.

## Signing Out

Tap the red **Sign Out** button at the bottom of the tab to sign out completely. This clears the current site and returns you to the sign-in screen.

  To hand the device to a colleague without fully signing out, use the **switch user** icon in the bottom navigation instead — they enter their own PIN to take over.
