What is Safeguarding in Pigeonhole?
The safeguarding system allows designated staff members (Designated Safeguarding Leads and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads) to:- Record and track concerns about children or staff
- Assign and manage actions taken in response to concerns
- Maintain a complete audit trail of all safeguarding activity
- Generate and securely share safeguarding histories
- Close and sign off concerns, with a record of who closed each one
- Communicate parent contact details and outcomes
Who Can Access Safeguarding?
Access to safeguarding features is role-based and permissions can be managed by the setting manager:- Safeguarding Lead Role: Full access to create, view, edit, manage, and close (sign off) all safeguarding records
- Deputy Safeguarding Lead Role: Full access to create, view, edit, and close (sign off) all safeguarding records
- Manager Role: Can configure settings and categories, and view safeguarding concerns and actions. Managers can also close concerns when sign-off is not required.
- Staff Role: Can raise concerns and view their assigned actions
