Funding rates are the hourly amounts your setting receives from the council for funded childcare, set per academic year and per age band (3/4 year olds, 2 year olds, and under 2s). Pigeonhole uses these rates to build finance projections of your estimated funding. You manage funding rates in Settings → Funding, on the Funding Rates card. The same page also holds the Funding Form Renewal settings.
Open in app: Settings → Funding.

Where to Manage Rates

Funding rates are a setting rather than something you edit on individual forms. The full step-by-step guide — adding a rate, editing an existing one, and the fields for each age band — lives in the onboarding guide, which applies to managers day-to-day too:

Managing Funding Rates

How to add and edit council hourly funding rates by academic year and age band.
Funding rates typically change each academic year, so add the new rates before the start of each academic year to keep your finance projections accurate.
  • Renewal Settings — control when funding forms renew and which terms parents can select (also on the Funding Settings page).
  • Creating & Sending Funding Forms — funded hours on a form are reviewed per child; the rates set here feed your overall funding projections.
